Hey Gang,

Just wanted to let everyone know that the front page news, that was archived to the 'News Archive', has been further archived to a downloadable document. You may download it from the 'News Archive' page by clicking the link at the bottom of that page.

Also, for those of you who are contest organizers, there has been a link added in the "Member's Only Section" for you to be able to request a copy of the Illinois State Proclamation for your contest. If you would like to be a 'State Championship' (whether you're KCBS sanctioned or not), simply click the link (or send an email to me)...as long as you meet the qualifications (click any of the 'State Championship' links on the Contest/Events page) I will be more than happy to email a copy to you.

HUGE THANK YOU to Steve Abrams (Burnt Food Dude) for keeping this forum going and growing. He does a GREAT job!

Thank You also to all our members for helping ILBBQS continue to grow! We have members in 7 states and 2 countries! Keep on smokin' and grillin'!

Carpe 'Que,

Lies! Lies! Lies! Rolling Eyes

I just try to keep the spammers out. Shocked Laughing

I think Jim is talking about the archives on the ILBBS Website not the Forum.

Steve, you're being too modest. Speaking of which, good job on landing the Internet Radio Show "BBQ411"! (for those who haven't heard about it, check out the news section of the ILBBQS.com site)

Yes, I did mean the news on the main website...not the forum...thanks for helping to clear that up.

Carpe 'Que,
Jim Rhino

What is the Zend Optimizer?

The Zend Optimizer is one of the most popular PHP plugins for performance-improvement, and has been available without charge, since the early days of PHP 4. It improves performance by scanning PHP's intermediate code and passing it through multiple Optimization Passes to replace inefficient code patterns with more efficient code blocks. The replaced code blocks perform exactly the same operations as the original code, only faster.

In addition to improving performance, the Zend Optimizer also enables PHP to transparently load files encoded by the Zend Guard.

The Zend Optimizer is a free product available for download from Zend Technologies. Zend Technologies also developed the PHP scripting engine, known as the Zend Engine.
