|
|
I got this from the Burnt Food Dudes web site. My sister loves Dr. Pepper, so I made some when I cooked for her. This sauce is now my family's favorite sauce. I used it on the 4th of July this year and it was a huge hit. People were upset when I took the sauce home with me and there wasn't any for the left overs they had the next day.
6oz Dr. Pepper
2 Cups Ketchup
1/4 Cup Worcestershire Sauce
1/2 Cup Vinegar
1/4 Cup Brown Sugar
2 TBS Molasses
2 TBS Yellow Mustard
1 TBS Tabasco Sauce
1 TBS Rub (your favorite)
1 TSP Liquid Smoke
1 TSP Black Pepper
1 TBS Lemon Juice
1 Clove Garlic (minced)
1/3 Cup Chopped Onion
1 Jalapeno (seeded & minced)
Place ingredients in a sauce pan and simmer about 30 minutes. Depending on how you minced the garlic and jalapeno , you can place sauce in a blender to get rid of the chunks.
when I make this I let it cook for around 2 hours and then I blend it, and let it go for another 2 hours. _________________ Chuck

Never thought of DP as a marinade. What is it best suited for? Ribs? Chicken?
I need something to boost my ribs scores _________________ PCMCIA - People Can't Memorize Computer Industry Acronyms. – Unknown |
