I'm hoping that some of you will be able to provide me with some information regarding Illinois/Central Illinois barbeque resources. I'm specifically interested in information anyone me have in two areas:

1) Smoker and/or grill rentals
2) Whole hog and/or pork sources (preferrably direct-from-farm)

However, I'm certain that this thread could also be useful if it had information on, for instance, wood and charcoal sources, around the state.

I'm specifically interested in 1) and 2) above as I'll soon be in-state (in Bloomington, I currently live in Sweden) to celebrate my father's 70th birthday. I'd love to go whole or half hog (either on a smoker or a large grill that I'll try to adapt myself) but am having trouble finding either one of these.

Does anyone here have any suggestions?

I don't know how far you are willing to drive but in Georgetown IL whole hogs are $135 for a hog <200lbs. That is butchered and ready to cook.

All tips are welcome! I'll keep that in mind.

Thanks 82's BBQ!

You could try contacting the Bloomington Chamber of Commerce. They may be able to help.

What is the Zend Optimizer?

The Zend Optimizer is one of the most popular PHP plugins for performance-improvement, and has been available without charge, since the early days of PHP 4. It improves performance by scanning PHP's intermediate code and passing it through multiple Optimization Passes to replace inefficient code patterns with more efficient code blocks. The replaced code blocks perform exactly the same operations as the original code, only faster.

In addition to improving performance, the Zend Optimizer also enables PHP to transparently load files encoded by the Zend Guard.

The Zend Optimizer is a free product available for download from Zend Technologies. Zend Technologies also developed the PHP scripting engine, known as the Zend Engine.
