I let me introduce myself my name is Jason Duhamell and I live in Mattoon Illinois. I have been doing serious barbecue for about 3 years now. I cook on the KCBS circuit although I have only done three contests so far with one coming up in October. I have done the Arthur contest in 2004 when it was small also in 2005 and again this year I also did Mt. Vernon this year, I am also a CBJ with the KCBS and will be judging my first KCBS event this weekend in Carbondale. I have judged a couple of local contests and one in Clinton that was not KCBS. I look forward to chatting with all of you in the furure

Hi Jason, welcome to the Board.

I plan on visiting the Arthur contest, probably Friday night and Saturday. I'm going to bring my cbj shirt & badge just in case they are short of judges.

I had plans on cooking but my wife twisted my arm and we are going to Libertyville the week after. Lam's Farm is having / sponcering its very first BBQ contest. I don't know how many teams will be there but being their fitst contest it should be fun. The week before Halloween!

Cooking back to back contests would be way too hard and time consuming. Hope to see ya at Arthur.

as far as I know they are still looking for judges at arthur just head over to the website and click on BBQ details and then judges and there should be an application link there

I just emailed my wife's and my judge's form. We signed up for everything. We'll see what happens.

What is the Zend Optimizer?

The Zend Optimizer is one of the most popular PHP plugins for performance-improvement, and has been available without charge, since the early days of PHP 4. It improves performance by scanning PHP's intermediate code and passing it through multiple Optimization Passes to replace inefficient code patterns with more efficient code blocks. The replaced code blocks perform exactly the same operations as the original code, only faster.

In addition to improving performance, the Zend Optimizer also enables PHP to transparently load files encoded by the Zend Guard.

The Zend Optimizer is a free product available for download from Zend Technologies. Zend Technologies also developed the PHP scripting engine, known as the Zend Engine.
