Working her way through a twenty-three ounce can of highly caffeinated beverage Hayden continued her stint in cyber world, a place that at the moment she couldn’t have been more immersed in. Not only did it give her a chance to see what was going on outside, it gave her access to the underground, which usually carried some pretty nifty info if you knew the right places to look. Throw her own personal soundtrack into the mix (courtesy of her I pod) and the place became a playground.
“Holy Crap!” She’d been scanning the local news stations and came upon some extremely startling live feed. Shalimar and Lexa standing right there in the museum, and with a bunch of other people Hayden didn’t even recognize. There was a delay of course, so she wasn’t really seeing things as they were happening. Leaving her laptop as is, she ran to where Adam was as fast as she could, leaving a skid mark from her sneakers as she slid to a stop. “Massive problem. Really, I mean really frickin big.” |

| Brennan was about to comment on Lexa when he heard and saw Hayden. He rubbed his left ear with his left hand when she made the skid noise on the floor. "Yeah, you wanna calm down and tell us?" |

| Kaylee heard the commotion and her heart sank. Lexa! She dropped her half-finished sandwich and ran to join the others, biting her lip in worry as she got there and watched the monitors. She carefully stayed away from the excited girl and Brennan, still not comfortable with any men except for Adam. Knowing that Lexa had been in dangerous situations before they met didn't help her anxiety any better. She sidled closer to Emma who almost always had a calm attitude around her. |

| Jesse was hearing everything. He kept quiet himself while he was doing his errands. He did stop and listened once he heard the shooting comments. He stood in the middle of the warehouse. Listening. Let them be ok, let them be ok. |

Adam however was making a phone call.
"Go in now. Team one is under attack." He directed and a secondary team of about four personnel went into the area, attacking the aggressors and effectively standing between Shalimar's team and the attackers.
"Shalimar, Lexa - I need you to go into the valut section, two levels down. Sensors are picking up heat signatures. This is a diversion." He spoke calmly, authoritively - even as his fingers cancelled out any alarms and triggers that might stand in their way. |

He threw down his earpiece and went into his office, shutting the door behind him. |

Lexa fired a laser at one of the guys, no make that two now. She back kicked one that came at her then back handed a guy coming after her. Lexa got kicked in the back for that, sending her stumbling forward into a punch. With guns still firing it was a little hard to dodge those. Lexa got hit and went down but not without a fight. Oh this is just great!! She thought to herself.
Kendra made a telekinetic blast that was a shade of green and silver, knocking down everything in her path which included the guys with guns. |

| Shalimar flshed her eyes and kicked on of the guys, and then she rolled and send the other oen to teh floor. Two more cam at her and she jumped up high leting them knock each other out. "Lexa time to g" she siad grabing her friend's arm, heading for the stairs. |

"Oww!!" Lexa yelped and fired a laser at one coming after them. "You trying to kill me!?" She was bleeding from her abdomen area which hurt like hell.
Kendra followed the other two out since they were deciding to leave. Two grabbed her by the arms and instantly caught on fire for it. Letting her go Kendra ran out behind Lexa and Shalimar. They didnt see the media in the far back areas. |

| When they reached the roof Shalimar noticed Lexa was bleeding "Damn." Then she saw the cop-lady had followed them to the roof. "So you're a new mutant too. What just hapened back there?" |

"Well obviously it was a diversion," Lexa breathed which hurt. "This was all a set up." Lexa glared at Kendra, thinking instantly that it was her.
Kendra could tell Lexa blamed her. "No it was not me!! Yes I am a mutant and I'm going with that she said. I got a tip from someone that an artifact was going to be stolen or tried to be stolen anyways. Since it seemed plausible enough I was sent here to watch. As your friend said it was a set up. What were in those vaults anyways that was so valuable to steal?"

After he closed the door to his office, Adam let out an irritated sigh.
He knew Shalimar and Lexa had plenty of cover, knew Brennan would be on his case about 'team issues' again.
Sometimes, he felt like just giving up altogether and retiring.
Perhaps he would, one day. But not today.
Today he had to find out what was going on at that damn museum. |

| Brennan was gonna respond to Hayden, but waited. Instead he watched Adam and what he was doin. He was ready to head out if Adam said the word. Well, so much for gettin into the action. He watched Adam go into his office. He looked at Hayden. "You wanna explain to me exactly what you found?" |
