| as jesse lay in the lab with blood pooring from his head he was begining 2 wake up. Jesse could see the outhers all standing around him. he could feel energy building in the palm of his hands. he could just summone enough strenght 2 mutter the words "get back". The fire burst from his hands towering up and reaching the roof. but the sudden rise in temperiture had trigered something inside jesse. he began to fit. he was shaking. no one could get neer him for the flames. |

Emma had kept silent through the ordeal, following the others into the lab. Last time this had happened all of them had had their powers evolve relatively close together. She kept her unease about the situation and concern for Jesse under shields, lest she project it.
She didn't sense Jesse's return to consciousness until it was too late. Hearing his words, she froze as flames leapt to life out of Jesse's hands, surrounding him and endangering them all. "Jesse!"
Time seemed to drag as she watched more flames rise. There wasn't enough time to fire a psiblast. She couldn't move for a moment; everything seemed to shimmer and wrinkle; straightening out. Then it stopped: all of it stopped.
There wasn't any heat from the blaze, the flames no longer danced. Eyes wide, Emma tentatively touched a red and orange tendril, jerking her hand back instinctively before she realized there was no burn. She turned to look at her teammates: all frozen, even their minds.
Emma dragged Shalimar out of the way, then Adam; Lexa was still in the doorway. What ever this was it was draining her, fast. Turning around with difficulty, she powered up a psiblast, hitting Jesse. Shaking, Emma dropped to the floor; spent and barely conscious as time resumed with a snap. Snatching any coherence from her.

Lexa saw Emma fall and turn as white as a sheet suddenly. "What the hell?!" Lexa went to Emma's side and shook her slightly.
"Emma wake up! Adam!!" Lexa yelled. She turned back to the phone. "Kaylee I gotta go I'll talk to you when you get here."
Kiandra inwardly laughed at Kenneth. She did not like working with him but he did have his uses.
Dominique unlocked her door with the push of a button. "Come in." She did not turn away from what she was looking at. |

the fire from jesse stoped. the fitting stoped and his heart stoped beating.
an alarm from one of the computers sounded 2 let the others know about the emergancy. |

| Shalimar saw emma fall. Her position had changed. She noticed the flames around Jesse. Her mind filled with fear as Jersses's medbed started rolling towards the lab exit. She moved away as it stopped inches in front of her. |

| Brennan pulled up in Sanctuary's Garage and immediately heard the alarms. "What the hell?" Then he smelt the smoke. He didnt even think about it. He ran into Sanctuary. He could see the smoke as soon as he got inview of the lab. He wasnt really sure where the rest of them were but he wasnt really focused on anything but the fire. He ran into the lab and charged a coil on both hands. He hit the sprinkler system with it. That triggered every sprinkler in Sanctuary to go off. "Why the hell didnt they go off on there own?" He came outta the lab coughin up a lung. |

"Ask questions later." Lexa never did notice the nosebleed she got but did feel the headache that was arising. There was a lot she wanted to ask but now wasn't the time to be asking them as of right now.

Adam was working nineteen to the dozen, doing half a dozen things at once, all of which he stopped when Jesse's monitor alarm sounded.
"Damn!" He started resuscitation on Jesse, working as quickly as he dared, glancing at monitors and readings as he did so.
"Come on Jess, stay with me now." He pleaded as he worked. |

Lexa got Emma up on the bed and noticed a drop of blood on Emma's arm. She realized the strain made her nose bleed again.
"Damn it!!" Lexa found a tissue and leaned her head back. The back of her throat tasted like blood. "This is just great!" |

| Shalimar felt a dizzy spell and a headache hit her. The smell from the burnt machinery in the lab was not helping either "Adam i don't feel so good" she said as she fell to the floor unconscious. |
