| Peter heard his phone ring and smiled broadly when he heard the familiar voice at the end of the other line. "Kane, how nice of you to call an old friend." A pause. "I knew you'd come around sooner or later, not mentioning the fact that the young man I have right here now isn't looking so good." Another pause. "What do you have in mind?" |

I expect you won't bring any bodyguards with you, or I'll kill both of them in front of you." And he cut the line before Adam could reply. He gritted his teeth. "That measly scientist. He'll soon realize Peter Sydney is not to be taken lightly." |

"And I know exactly what I have to do." He sagged against a nearby wall, then jumped as his phone went off.
It was Emma.
"Oh lord." He said to himself.
And switched the phone off, leaving it behind. |

Emma just stood there, back against the wall, looking dazed. She didn't want to believe what she had just heard, but it was too real to push off a mere illusion. Quietly, with clenched fists, she waited for Adam.

Adam wasted no time, in making his way to the designated control point.
He hoped to arrive ahead of Peter and get a few surprises in place for the New Mutant, but when he arrived his followers were already in place.
"Ah well.. Plan B." He said, straightening up and walking up boldly. |

David walked in impressed by all he saw. They had technology at the Arch's hideout but not like this. All of this was so advanced. It was kept in tiptop shape and running smoothly. They had holographic preyectors and computers. It was all so neat. He hadnt realized his mouth was open the whole time. He closed it and kept walking around.
