Rose ignored Tegan and stared at the Doctor.
"So what exactly did you and your old girlfriend get up to inside the TARDIS?" Rose asked through clenched teeth.
Jack's hand sureptisouly moved towards Rose's wrist, just to make sure she didn' launch herself at the Doctor.
"Rose, maybe we should-" Jack began.
"No, I want to hear what my Doctor has to say." Rose said her voice wobbling. Jack couldn't understand why it bothered Rose so much. It was so unlike her to so openly express her jealousy. |

"Well there was no reason to keep me in the dark about your previous companions. Was there?" Rose replied just as sharply. "So come on, lets here it. I want to know all their names and all about them."
"Rose, this really isn't a good idea." Jack muttered, but Rose stubbornly ignored him. |

Rose opened her mouth to say something, probably along the lines of "you are not meeting her later" though Jack doubted if it would've been that polite, but Jack put a hand over her mouth.
Rose turned to look at him raising her eyebrows.
"Don't." Jack wanred and slowly removed his hand.
She narrowed her eye and pulled her hand out of his grasp, folding her arms. |

| After Tegan's departure the Doctor didnt say anything straight away. He fiddled with the TARDIS controls, obviously rather annoyed from the expression on his face and the way he hit the TARDIS controls. But he still didnt say anything. |

"Ignoring me now are you?" Asked Rose equally as annoyed. Jack frowned staring from one to the other. They'd never fought like this before and as for Rose's behaviour, well that was as rare as Jackie not insulting the Doctor.
Rose stood next to the Doctor by the console.
"Talk to me." She said, softer than before. |

It was almost soul destroying. Jack wasn't sure which he hated most. The fact that Rose and the Doctor were fighting, the look on the Doctor's face or the thought that Rose was practically dying on the inside. It had been obvious to Jack from day one that Rose was infatuated with the Time-Lord and he had just crushed her hopes of anything ever happening.
"I'm sorry." Rose mumbled the tears falling down her face now. Jack moved round the console so he was stood on the other side of the Doctor. He couldn't bear to watch Rose in so much pain. |

"No, but, you don't....oh..." Rose just trailed off. She looked like a lost puppy.
"Doctor, I..." Jack began but wasn't sure how to say what he wanted to, especially in front of Rose.
"Doctor," Rose began again. The tears were still rolling down her face and she wanted more reassurance, but unsure how to get it. |

"Actually if it hadnt been for Tegan and Nyssa, I wouldnt be here now." He said contemplatively.
"I had an argument with a telescope tower and lost." He grinned at the memory. |

| Rose didn't say anything. She wasn't in the mood for jokes. Jack watched the pair, wondering if the hug was going to be offered to him as well, or if he was going to have to live without it. |

The Time Lord caught the look and sighed.
"You humans.." He murmured with a smile and held out an arm for Jack to come join them.
He hugged his favourite companions a long time, before gradually letting them go.
"Kay. Well then, whose for some Candy Floss then." Asked the Doctor awkward at his display of affection. |

Jack tried to lighten the mood by joining in.
"Go on then, if you're offering," He smilied at the Doctor.
Rose rubbed the last of the tears of her face.
"ok," She said in a small voice. |
