Disclaimer: I do not own any of the Mutant X characters and such. I only own and created Keira Kane.
Now for the beginning:
Keira Kane growled as she walked down the hallway of the sanctuary towards the lab. She was supposed to meet Brennan there a half hour ago but Jesse held her up. "He's always gonna stop me from meeting him." Keira said to herself.
"From meeting who?" Brennan's voice asked from behind Keira. She yelped and looked at him.
"You, Jesse stopped me a half hour ago to see if I had other plans but I told him I was meeting you." Keira replied with a slight grin. Brennan just looked at her. "It's true! Why are you guys trying to do this to me?" Keira asked as Brennan just smiled.
"For the hell of it? I dunno. Come on. We'll be late for that movie." Brennan replied as Lexa and Shalimar came down the stairs.
"What happened to Jesse? Looks like he just saw a ghost." Lexa asked. "Keira, did you do something to him?" She asked.
"Does morphing into his worst fear work? Yeah. I did." Keira said as Shalimar looked at her.
"Good for you. Now you heard Brennan, hurry up so you can watch that movie." Shalimar said.
"Fine." Keira muttured and grabbed Brennan's trenchcoat sleeve and left.
"Have fun!!!" Lexa's voice sounded as Brennan grinned.
"Oh we will!" Brennan said.
Done for now. Will post more later. |

Next entry!
Keira gave a slight growl as she walked into the garage. "Stupid Dominion." She muttured.
Brennan gave Keira a weird look. "What the hell are you talking about?" He asked.
"Nothing. But if we run into the Dominion, I'll have tons of fun kicking their asses." Keira replied flashing a insane smile at him. Brennan just raised an eyebrow.
"Why I asked you to go out to the movies with me, I have no clue. But remind me to ask you out again." Brennan said getting into the Mustang.
"Alright then. You sure you want to take me out again?" Keira asked getting in also.
"Positive. Like who else am I going to ask out? Jesse?" Brennan asked. Keira looked at him shocked.
"Dude, that isn't right." Keira said. Brennan shrugged.
"Sounded weird to me." He muttured.
"Yeah but you said it." Keira said as Brennan looked at her.
"You are right about that." Brennan said.

Back at sanctuary Lexa, Jesse and Shalimar were all sitting there trying to figure out what to do.
"Any clue if Brennan and Keira made it to the movies?" Jesse asked. Lexa and Shalimar both shrugged.
"Who knows. Let them be anyways, this is their first date, Jess. How would you feel if we all butted into your date?" Lexa asked. Jesse glared at her.
"For your information, Lexa. You are my girlfriend. But I would feel bad if they butted in. But I'm just worried about Keira right now." Jesse said regaining his feelings about Keira. Shalimar stood up and smacked him.
"Live with it Jesse! Keira's moved on with Brennan! Unless you wanted to have a huge fight with Brennan for Keira once again." Shalimar snapped at him.
Lexa sighed. "You are unreadable, Jess. Keira is in love with Brennan." Lexa said.
Jesse looked at the two ladies. "I know, I know. I just can't bear if Brennan hurts Keira." He said.
Shalimar looked at him. "What are trying to say?" She asked.
"I'm saying I'll kill him if he hurts Keira!!" Jesse snapped at the two.
Lexa and Shalimar both glanced at each other and then at Jesse.
"I can't believe you said that!!! After all Brennan is your best friend!!" Lexa said.
"Yeah well Keira is my ex-girlfriend!!! I would kill him anyways!!" Jesse snapped.

Keira gave a sigh of relief as Brennan pulled into the parking lot of the theater.
"You okay?" He asked her. She gave a slight nod.
"Yeah, I'm fine. Just a little shaken from what happened earlier." She replied getting out of the car and went over to Brennan.
"I'm wondering if Jesse is still pissed at me for taking you out." Brennan said.
"He'll stay that way for a while, Brennan. Believe me." Keira said.
"I know. He's as pissed as he could be with me for this. But he has moved on." Brennan said as they walked towards the doors of the theater.
"I know. Something about his attitude is worrying me though." Keira said as Brennan looked at her.
"It's okay, believe me." Brennan said. |

Keira gave a sigh. "I don't think I'll be albe to believe you, Brennan. Jesse is getting bothered by all of this." Keira said.
"Listen, he has moved on, Keira. Just like you. With me that is." Brennan said buying the tickets. Keira gave a sigh.
"I'm really glad that I moved with you Brennan, really." Keira said and grabbed a bottle of water from Brennan after he bought the tickets and the refreshments.
Brennan gave her a worried look. "Come here." He said as Keira sighed and went towards him and he gave Keira a kiss hoping it would lighten her mood.
As soon as Brennan kissed Keira she shut up right then a there and gave a slight grin. She was enjoying this. Brennan opened his eyes and gave a mental smile in his head happy that he pleased Keira with the kiss and he broke the kiss. "Now, let's get into the theatre to watch that movie. Or do a little something on the side." He murmured to Keira who gave a smile.
"Let's go then." She said. |

Sighing Jesse looked towards Shalimar and Lexa who were still shocked.
"So are you saying that you are still in love with her?" Lexa asked.
"To tell you the truth, I really don't know." Jesse said as Shalimar looked at Lexa.
"Weren't you still in love with Tasha the same time you were dating Keira?" Shalimar asked confused now.
"I kinda was." Jesse said but was interrupted by a beeping of the computer.
"The hell?" Shalimar asked and pressed the button to answer the call. But Adam's face showed up onto the monitor. Shalimar gave a yelp.
"No need to get all scared, Shalimar." Adam said. Lexa and Jesse came over to the computer.
"We thought you were..." Shalimar said but froze.
"Dead? No, I escaped NexCon's explosion. The reason why I contacted you is because there is a new mutant in a nearby safehouse. She's a shadow illusionist. I've been having a hard time trying to track her down." Adam said.
"Well Keira and Brennan are out on a date while Shalimar, Jesse and I are stuck here, need us to go check it out?" Lexa asked.
"I would greatly appreciate it, Lexa. So, Brenna and Keira are on a date?" Adam asked.
"Yes, they are. Finally." Shalimar said as Jesse just sat there. |

"Jesse, you look like you're about to start crying." Adam said.
"I don't wanna talk about it, Adam." Jesse said. Lexa and Shalimar both exchanged glances.
"He misses Keira." Shalimar piped up as the molecular mutant glared at her.
"It's no reason to miss her, Jess. Now go and find that mutant. I'll meet you down at the safehouse." Adam said.
"Isn't that a little too risky?" Lexa asked.
"Not all the time, Lex." Adam replied and sent the information to the three.
About a hour later they meet up with Adam and decided to split up. Jesse with Adam and Lexa with Shalimar. "If anything happens, we'll contact Brennan and Keira." Lexa said.
"Same here." Adam said and they left in their own direction looking for the mutant. |

"Brennan.. Keira.. Can you two hear me??" Adam's voice was now in their heads as Keira blinked exchanging glances with Brennan.
"Dad?" Keira asked pulling her comlink to her lips.
"Yes it's me.. Meet me outside of the theater.. Now!!" Adam said. Brennan rolled his eyes as he and Keira left the theater.
Keira spotted Adam and Jesse standing infront of Brennan's Mustang and she grabbed Brennan's arm and dragged him towards the car, Jesse and Adam. "This better be good!! You interrupted our date!!!" Keira snapped at her father and Jesse as her eyes flashed tiger and went back to their brown state.
"We have a new mutant to help.. Shadow illusionist.." Adam said as Brennan stood there beside Keira looking at her then at Jesse.
"You still not forgiving me, man?" Brennan asked Jesse.
"No.. I'm not.." He said only to earn a whap on the head by Keira.
"Shut up Jess.. Please? Dad.. I think we should get out of sight right now.." Keira said as something caught her eye and they flashed tiger again. "Dominion.." She growled making the move to summon her reddish/bluish teslia coils and fired it at the agent near Adam.
Brennan and Jesse both lashed their feet out at two incoming agents taking them down as Brennan brought his Comlink up to his lips. "Shal!! Lexa!! We need help!!!" Brennan said.
"We're on our way!!!" Lexa's voice replied.
Keira stood infront of her father protectively and looked at the surrounding agaents around her and Adam. She just closed her eyes and fired a psioic blast and the agents and then grinned as they backed up. |
