Every once in a while the mods will be posting summaries for the ongoing RPGs so that people who want to know the story (but are too lazy to go to the individual threads) can have an idea of how the roleplays are progressing. This will also hopefully encourage people to join the RPGs we have.
So go ahead and read 'em all while they're still fresh!!! 
(Individual summaries will still be posted in each RPG thread for the players' reference.  ) |

Tempus Fugit ~ week of Sept. 18-24, 2005
The story so far:
The members of Mutant X finally discovered that something's going on within their systems -- as a result of another genetic mutation or an outside unknown force they aren't too sure yet; that is, until Adam verifies the facts and assure them (like he always do) that he would soon find a solution for whatever the problem is.
In the meantime Dominique's minions are starting to act. Their mission -- locate three psionics that would prove to be very difficult enemies for Mutant X.
Will Dominique's plans succeed? Will the team be able to control their new abilities? And will Adam find a way of stabilizing them before time runs out?
All these and more as the story continues in Tempus Fugit

Harbored Lies ~ week of Sept. 18-24, 2005
The story so far:
Things are starting to get more out of hand for the team as a series of events happen that threaten the safety not only of Mutant X but of all new mutants as well. Add to the questions that hung low in their midst is the sudden appearance of Shalimar's father, Nicholas Fox, in the compound where Adam and Shalimar found the scrolls that possessed the key to the destruction of the whole world.
In the meantime, Lexa and Kaylee Pierce were captured by a suspicious group who claimed to be a special force in the government, and were interrogated into admitting their hidden powers. Luckily the two were rescued by Emma, Kendra and Chelsea before the cops were able to ask too many questions; and Emma de Lauro used her psionic blast to erase their memories in order to keep the team's identity safe.
Now the team is racing against time to find Eric Daniels, Chelsea's father, who holds a primary role in decoding the mystery that will make or break the survival of all the new mutants out there -- and maybe the whole world.
Will the team get to Eric in time? And where is Jesse Kilmartin? How about the safety of the other new mutants, like Thera? Exactly what is written in the scrolls?
All these and more in the continuation of Harbored Lies.

The Genomex Years - week of Sept. 18-24, 2005
The story so far:
Adam Kane is the new star of Genomex, the fresh, young scientist who figured out how to stabilize DNA strands and cure people of various diseases. At the same time he works on finding a way to stabilize the genetic functions of Genomex's experiments -- four young people monitored of their abilities and basically treated as lab rats inside the compound, except by Adam himself.
Selene Quant, a feral, together with her panther Bast, has just been hired by Genomex to be Adam's personal bodyguard, under the supervision of Mason Eckart. Tension increases in the compound as Adam tries every possible way to get the woman off her back, while Dr. Harrison secretly tries to run his own experiments on Adam, as instructed by Eckart.
Meanwhile, Project Tasha gets in trouble with Eckart, while Project Chris deals with the new bodyguard and suddenly finds her self involved in a series of events that further emphasizes the instability of her own existence, and probably the existence of other new mutants as well.
Questions are continued to be raised: What plans do Mason Eckart and Dr. Harrison have in store for the young scientist? Who is the mysterious Christina? And who are Rain and Hayden, who both seemed to be connected to Adam for some unknown reason? And where are the two other Genomex projects -- Alex and the other nameless project?
All these and more as the story continues in The Genomex Years.

Mirrored Realities ~ week of Sept. 18-24, 2005
The story so far:
Ashlocke in charge?
Brennan in the hands of the enemy who isn't the enemy?
While Adam works on stabilising Gabriel's new mutancy, supposedly in the name of humanity, Emma DeLauro dreams of different realities.
Brennan has been taken, Shalimar suddenly suspects Gabriel - and even Adam has lapses of confidence in their leader who supposedly saved them from the clutches of the GSA...

Target: Mutant X ~ week of Sept. 18-24, 2005
The story so far:
Adam and the rest of the team are finally having a well-deserved break from fighting the bad guys for so long. Their activities: mountain hiking and nightlife in Vegas. To make things more interesting, Riley, an old friend of Brennan, joins the ride.
But even before the team could leave, Adam receives a call for help, forcing him to let the team go first and intending to catch up later. He soon finds himself locked in a dingy cell with no way of communicating with the rest of Mutant X.
Will the team be able to save Adam in time? What will happen to Jesse's problem, and how would it affect Emma and the whole trip? And what is the significance of Riley in the turn of events? Will Mutant X ever get the vacation they deserve?
All these and more in the continuation of Target: Mutant X

1.Due to some problems, Mirrored Realities will be locked down until further notice.
2.The poll for the Made-up Characters is still on-going, and will close at the end of October. For those who haven’t voted yet, please take the time to check out the thread and vote.
3.There will be a new RPG, a Mutant X/X-men crossover. For those interested, kindly sign-up in the respective thread.
4.Mutant X is having a Halloween party! Join in the fun and get the chance to play the different characters in this special RPG which will be open for a limited time only. The RPG is slated to start next week. (OR this week, if I change my mind) |

Descendent ~ week of Oct. 23-29, 2005
The story so far...
Adam Kane and the rest of Mutant X are dead. However, Adam's son, Michael, swore to continue what his father had begun. He has his own group of new mutants whose task is to protect the world they live in. He also has connection with Safehouse Alpha and Beta, and together they work as a team to keep new mutants safe from harm.
A disturbance in the hospital signaled that a new battle is about to take place, with the recent assaults occuring all over the city as an added spice. Michael and his team must uncover the truth that is putting their, and all the other new mutants, lives in danger.
Will Michael be able to discover who is behind the attacks and the threats made to his life? When will the enemy strike next? What about the other new mutants who are not fully aware of Michael's group, or the enemy's plan, for that matter?

Clash Between the Titans
Adam Kane received information that a group of mutants which have entered an institution founded by the famous Professor X are connected to a series of recent terrorism in different parts of the country. He sends his team as undercover agents to identify the people behind this and stop them before they could do more damage than they already have. They enter the institution and mingle with other mutants, and at the same time research on who might be the cause of all the destruction going around. Professor X believes that the culprits are from the outside, allies of his worse enemy, but Adam thinks otherwise. Mutant X is now racing against time to pinpoint the outlaws and prevent them from doing the greatest act of terrorism one could think of -- use Professor X to destroying all non-mutants.

Harbored Lies ~ Week of November 20 - 26, 2005
The story so far:
Adam Kane is this close to figuring out the puzzle that holds the key to the destruction of the entire world, and the team is still racing against time to save new mutants from impending doom. Jesse Kilmartin finds himself captured by self-proclaimed bounty hunters, and Shalimar and Brennan must save him and keep their self-control when it comes to each other. Adam and the rest also had a close encounter with Eric, which was cut short due to an "accident."
Will Adam and the rest get to Brennan and the others in time? What will happen to Chelsea and Nicholas, who are still in the safehouse? Is Kaylee safe in their house, all by herself? Are the bounty hunters really just bounty hunters, or are they somewhat related to Eric and the mysterious scrolls?

Putting the Pieces Back Together Again ~ Week of February 5-11, 2006
The story so far:
After being pronounced dead for a year, Emma DeLauro miraculously ‘came back to life,’ thanks to the ingenuity of the scientist Adam Kane. Together they set out to find the rest of Mutant X, an attempt to put the team back together and answer all the questions that Adam had left hanging when he suddenly disappeared.
Meanwhile, a new renegade group of new mutants, called The Arch, has been moving for some time and plotting some devious antics to the unsuspecting world. They appeared to be a spin-off of The Strand, but it appeared that their leader Peter Sydney has something else up his sleeve.
Will Mutant X get the team back together in time to stop The Arch’s plans? Will Peter, by means of Melodie, infiltrate the new Sanctuary? And what does David know that no one else seems to know? Who will Jesse choose between Lexa and Emma? And what’s happening with Adam?
All these and more as the story continues in Putting the Pieces Back Together Again.
Note: Since it seemed that members of the Arch are badly needed, I am now allowing lurkers (???) in this rpg. By lurkers I meant those who want to post as Arch members for a while but not really included in the story. Just make sure your character will disappear after a while. (Rain, do you think you can redo that Daniella thing again? Lol.) Just make sure that your post has something to do with the actual story (i.e. the training, etc). Thank you. |

Putting the Pieces Back Together Again ~ Week of March 26 - April 1, 2006
The story so far:
With everything going according to plan, the Arch is now slowly but surely infiltrating Sanctuary’s systems, all with the help of their resident telecyber, Melodie. Adam and the others, on the other hand, will have to deal with their own internal differences to be able to fight together against their common foe.
Alliances will be broken, friendships tested, true love called.
Will Mutant X resolve their conflicts in time? Will Peter get the revenge he desperately wants? What will be the outcome of this clash between two great powers?
