Without rules there is chaos. So, in order to prevent that we have a few rules. Please respect them in order to make your (and others) stay here more pleasant. All decisions are final. There will be no appeal.
1. No flaming other members of this board. We accept criticism & flames as long as it’s referring to MXL: OS the site and/or the MXL: OS board. And no past vendettas/feuds/conflicts. That is private stuff. Keep it that way. All threads disrespecting this rule will be locked and deleted.
2. No NC-17 material. No exceptions. The admins will decide what is NC-17. The decision is final, there are no appeals. All threads disrespecting this rule will be locked and deleted.
3. No excessive board or site promotion. Not even other Mutant X related site/board. It is off topic. All threads disrespecting this rule will be locked and deleted. If you want promotion request becoming an affiliate or request adding your site/board to the links section of MXL: OS.
4. Respecting individual copyright Most stuff originates from Tribune stuff, but individual creations are just that - individual and nobody likes it when someone else nicks their stuff. Don't do unto others what you wouldn't want done unto you.
5. If you want to moderate one of the sections that already are moderated, the other mods must be asked. That means: you contact the admin, and one of the admins will ask teh other mods if they agree to co-moderate with you.
6. No spamming. The first spam message posted will result in a 3 day ban, the second spam message will result in a permanent ban.
7. In the interests of the actors/actresses involved in Mutant X, we request that usernames pertaining to the actors names be disallowed. This means that usernames like: Victor Webster, Victoria Pratt, Lauren Lee Smith, Forbes March, Karen Cliche, John Shea are forbidden. Anyone making posts and claiming they are an actor/crewmember must prove it. Usernames like: victorwebsterfan, victoriapratt_02, etc. are allowed. |

Add-ons and other notices

Well since people have started to add huge avatars i'm going to ask everyone to resize them, or when adding new ones to make shore they're not over 100x100 pixels in size. It's only common sense, and keeps unity to the board. Signatures will not be restricted, but we ask you to keep it common sense. If your signature exceeds this limit you will get a pm asking you to change it.
Moderator status
Okay we've had a number of screw ups owing to people not following chain of command, and going over other peoples heads.
If you have a problem with the board, a person on the board address the Moderator of the area in question.
If you feel the Mod hasnt listened, or isnt going to listen or indeed if your problem is with the moderater themselves then AND ONLY THEN go to either Blackpanther, Ray or PsiGen listing your problem, and the moderator involved.
You will be called into a conference, along with the admins Ana, Ray and PsiGen and the moderator involved to address the problem/issue at hand.
If you dont show up, or you dont explain your complain, the procedure will be aborted by one of the admins and your complaint/issue unheard.
We do this to show not only that we trust our moderators to fix things on their individual patches, but that we are 100% committed to being fair to everyone involved. That means admins, that means moderators and that means YOU.

Okay since the near destruction of our good selves heres the deal.
No flaming. Whatsoever. From family relatives or otherwise. We'll go by IP address alone and I dont care WHAT excuse you have - even if it was the family cat that did it.
Admin decisions are final.
Three warning status. You get three. Just three. On the fourth transgression you will be banned and thats NOT starting from now.
PMing - if we catch you writing horrible PM's to anyone else on the board pertaining to personal relations, or just simple name calling, you'll earn yourself a warning
Finally: listen to your moderator. If you have an issue with the moderator itself, come to the admin. Moderators keep an eye on your sections! If we get any untoward posts or problems, your first in the firing line.
I hate having to do this. I really do. But thats how it is.
Everyone is free to express themselves within the boundaries of what this board is about. You have a personal feud? TAKE IT ELSEWHERE. All it will do is earn you a heap of trouble and eventual banning from the board.
