I can’t believe that I lost him before I even had him. He broke through my walls with out me knowing, and now I wont ever know what could have come from it.

A simple, untraceable poison slipped into his drink last night at the club. We didn’t know what was wrong with him until it was too late to save him. I want to find out who did this to us and kill that person.

I held him in my arms as he drew in his last breath. Some how I knew when it was going to happen and just before he completely left us I pressed my lips to his for a final kiss.

Shalimar and Brennan are both upset, but somehow I don’t think that they understand how I feel about him. Over this last year I’ve fallen for him, only to realize it too late to tell him the truth. I’ll never know how it feels to be locked in passion with him as we make love, nor will I ever know how it feels to wake up next to him the morning after.

There will be no more fleeting kisses and mild banter. All the things that made me fall in love with him are gone, and I know that I will never feel the same way again.

I Lexa Pierce swear that I will find out who has done this and I will kill them, even if it is the last thing that I do.
