Emma nodded and got out of the car. "Let's just hope these people are indeed working for Eric, otherwise we're all screwed." She focused on the nearest men in the area, hoping that they would recognize Eric. The two men nodded at her and she breathed a sigf of relief.
"Call the operation off," he instructed them.
"What?" one of the men answered. "We almost have them, why call off now?"
"Do as what you're told," Emma calmly responded. "Do not test my authority. Contact the others and call the whole operation off. NOW." Emma smirked as one of the men spoke on his phone and called the men who were chasing Shalimar and the rest.
"Pull back, I repeat, pull back," he commanded them. "This is a direct order from Mr. Daniels. Pull back."
Emma waited for the confirmation. Two more minutes and the men nodded. "They've stopped the pursuit. What's our next move?"
"Head back towards the camp," she answered. "I have Adam Kane with me, and I'll bring him to you shortly. I'll meet you inside in ten." She then walked calmly away from them, heading back to the car. |

| Emma spoke to her commlink as soon as she's back in the car. "Shal? Bren? Find the nearest exit and meet us in the west car park. We already took care of Eric's men. How's Jesse?" She glanced nervously at Adam and Kendra. |

| Emma shifted into nurse mode the moment she saw the trio. She got out of the car and met them, immediately checking on Jesse. "He's out cold," she said nervously as they got into the car. She moved to the backseat and started tending to Jesse's wounds. "Jess," she whispered, sending him calming vibes and an anti-pain psyblast. "Jess, what did they do to you?" |

"We cant stay here too long. Everyone else okay?" Asked Adam, as he bent over Jesse.
"Brennan you drive, Shal ride shotgun. Emma I need you to help me with Jess in the car." He said, grimacing as he assessed and diagnosed. |

Emma quickly assisted Adam in every way she could, and sending calming vibes to Jesse at the same time. She heightened up her mental walls to shield herself from all the emotions that were threatening to swallow her up. Jesse needed her. She can't blacken out.
Jesse suddenly convulsed, twitching this way and that while Emma held him to keep him steady. "Jess!" she yelled. |

Adam was quick to respond, giving Jesse a shot to both quieten the convulsion, and give him time to escalate his prognosis.
"It's not looking good, I can't stabilise him in this environment!" He cried, as he continued to work. Thankfully, Emma seemed to anticipate his needs as quickly as he did, and between the two of them they were keeping Jesse alive. Just. |
