He shifted again, muttering in his sleep - fighting unseen assailants and calling out in his dreams. Dreams which turned to nightmares, of him running through an empty Sanctuary, of finding Mason standing there, telling him calmly that didnt he know that he'd killed them all?
Finally this nightmare woke him, and he found himself lying in an unfamiliar place. Quiet breathing told him there was another close by - Shalimar perhaps? Or Emma? No, not Emma - Emma was... Emma was...he locked the thought away, he couldnt complete it, if he did...
Trembling he tried to move to get up amid the tightly wadded bedclothes that someone had placed about him. |

He stared at her, she was talking to him, but not talking to him.
Whilst trying very hard to comprehend how she was doing that, he passed out again. |

Once the fever had taken hold, so did the delirium.
Twice he mistook her for Shalimar, calling out to her to run from imaginary GS Agents closing in for the kill.
Finally though he quietened, his world turning from grey to pitch black as he descended into an almost comatose state. |

Sho lived those dreams along with the man. She needed to find out his name soon. Hey, there. she thought soothingly at him. Is that a little better? No more demons chasing you. I can't keep calling you, hey you though. What's your name? Let me show you something a lot more pleasant to think about and well deal with those other stuff later.
Sho opened up her mind to him and flooded him with images of a meadow that she used to play in as a child, her happy spot. The place she went to when she needed to forget about life, Wren, stress and being lonely. She pictured it at the end of spring, full of brightly colored flowers and rabbits and birds. She drew him through the dreamscape to sit down beside her. Sho leaned back and enjoyed the warm sunlight. |

I dont know you. Who are you and what do you want with me? Clarity of thought was with him in this place of the mind, and he still wasnt sure whose side she was on.
Was he dead? Had he in fact died in the explosion after all? |

She leaned over and savored the smell of the cornflowers, her favorite wildflower.
"I'm in your mind. Actually you're in mine, now. I brought over to this safe place to heal your mind. Your mind was being very wacky." |

He sighed.

He actually seemed embarrassed. As an afterthought he added:

She reached through his mind and out to the others in his recent memory. First one she found was the blond female. She was sitting someplace looking a photo album. Shoshana softened her control some. "Tell me about her." |

"That's Shalimar. She'll fight to the death for those she loves. She's like a second daughter to me... except.... " He flinched away at the image of her accusing face when she had learned about his involvement with Eckhart.
