She didnt have long to wait for her answer.
Adam shoulder charged the first agent, and barrelled over the second.
But he was heavily outnumbered, and the leader had clearly come prepared for trouble. A quick smack on the back of his head with a rifle butt was all it took to make Adam see stars. He fell back, head lolling - semiconscious. |

| Shoshana grabbed her bag of herbals and fussed at Adam mentally the whole time through. "What the heck were you thinking? Don't tell me. I don't need defending. But thanks for the compliment." She cleaned the wound carefully. "Sorry about that, but I really don't like cleaning wounds with somebody breathing down my neck. You're going to have a headache and gooseegg for a few days." She taped a gauze pad over it. Standing up, she pushed her way through to the stove and poured another cup of tea and then made Adam drink it, all the while glaring at the intruders. "Here, sip some of this, Adam," she said for the other's benefits. |

Adam kicked out with his leg, causing the guy to double up in pain.
The others didnt take kindly to it and they were soon being hustled into a car.
"Fine, I'll drive." Said Adam, nabbing the keys and jabbing one in the ribs, elbowing past the other.
"Shoshana get in!" He cried. |

He tried to fight back, but that just took the last scraps of his strength and his foot left the accelerator.
"You... ?" He looked in confusion at her. Was she in league with them the whole time?
He wouldnt find out anytime soon, and darkness stole him away.
"Nicely done. Get him into the Van - CAREFULLY!" Ordered the leader.
"Just for that you can stay." He said to her, and turned to go. |

The journey back to the facility was a long one, and Adam didnt waken at any point. When the time came to enter, the leader searched the woman first, then picked up Adam making to carry him inside.
"Oh the HELL you are!" Called a female voice and the shooting started. |
