The first episode aired last night on BBC1 at 7:15pm UK time.
So what was the verdict?
I liked it except for the part where he's trapped in a cabinet and has to be LET OUT! Cmon... the Doc's been trapped EVERYWHERE from one side of the Universe to the other.... I would've thought he'dve managed to escape one cabinet.
That aside I have to applaud Billie Pipers acting in the two roles of Rose and Cassandra - absolutely first rate. The Cockney accent the 'so sue me' attitude, absolutely spot on. And the new hair style is pretty cool too. In many ways she actually managed to upstage the Doctor. Cool episode, some quirks but hey.

So did he rate the honour of being a Time Lord. Thumbs up.

As they aren't showing the 2nd season yet here in the US, I have to reserve my opinion until then. Eccleson seems pretty interesting so far...
