The Doctor has been returned to the Time War, to fight and this time to die by his comrades sides. With no memory except in fleeting dreams and visions, the Doctor has no idea what's coming and what must follow.
Meanwhile Rose and Jack are left seemingly stranded - can the Doctor's last murmurs guide them to follow their Time Lord? Or will Rose finally give up on her Doctor...?
Time will tell, it always does.

Rose took several deep breaths before standing up, still staring blankly at the spot where the Doctor had lay.
"We have to go back." She said quietly.
"Rose, I don't think the TARDIS-" Jack began.
"Do it. Take us back. We can't leave him." Rose said, looking Jack straight in the eye. He bit his lip, but nodded.
They both stood beside the console, Jack working thecontrols, setting them for the Time War. He hoped that he wasn't going to run into the old Doctor and the other TARDIS.
"Please take us back," Rose whispered to the time ship, scared and worried. |

The TARDIS shuddered and froze up, her engines grinding and whining - straining to pass beyond the unpassable, to reach back into what was never there.
And a trillion light years away, a Time Lord woke screaming in his bed, admist the most terrible Time War imaginable... |

"C'mon, you can do it," Rose said soothingly to the ship when it was clear the TARDIS was struggling. "We'll have him back in no time, and then you can spend a long time powering up somewhere peaceful."
Jack would ordinarily have made a point about Rose talking to the ship but he was neither in the mood, nor was it the right time. |

The monitor flashed up a warning in bright red letters.
'WARNING - EXCEEDING PARAMETERS OF DESIGN'
Stil the Time ship lurched, trying to get free of the usual physical boundaries of time and space.
Universal physics dictated that one cannot travel to a time that does not exist in the natural logical order of things.
With a loud wail, her engines ground to life, the rotor beginning to fall and rise.
Rules were made to be broken apparently. |

Lord Thete Sigma looked out of the window at the urgent activity below. Arms, ammunition, armours and other stuff were being hurried across to the Capitol building where it was expected to make their last stand if it came down to it.
Not that it COULD ever come to that, he mused. Daleks beating Time Lords. As if!
Nothing could break through their transduction barriers, and when it came to manipulation of time and space, the Daleks were mere novices to the Time Lords.
Still he harboured some doubts, but then he hadnt been sleeping properly. Kept dreaming of a blonde haired girl with big blue eyes and a fascination for pink. Most perplexing.
He hurried to keep his appointment with the High Councol, to discuss the up and coming mission.
The TARDIS materialised in a hidden corner of the Panoptican, shutting down all systems immediately to avoid dectection. She was a time anomaly here, and as such shouldnt even be able to exist in this time/space. But she did.
And so did her two companions. |

Rose sighed with relief.
"Thank you," she whispered, before heading over to the doors and opening them a crack. "We're gonna have a slight problem."
Jack followed her over and glacned out. From their position they were hidden but could still see the devestation in front of them. They could still see the time lords dying. |

The Time Lords dying turned to phantoms then disappeared - a future echo of the danger still to come.
Inside the Panoptican, Lord Thete Sigma was growing more impatient as they continued to debate the validity of the risk of sending his squad into the war zone, when he felt the oddest tingles down his spine. He frowned, unable to place it, then dimissed it as the time came to vote. |

"C'mon," she said hurrying towards a large building in the distance. |

They had retired to consider, as the vote had been split.
Thete did not hide his sarcasm. Already regenerated into his ninth form following a botched misson behind enemy lines, he was still very aware of the need for real intelligence. But as usual, they were weighing up the pros and cons, and thinking of consequences blah blah blah.
He couldnt be doing with it. In this regeneration he was all about action, not debate.

Rose and Jack ran up the stone steps and through the huge doors. They found themselves in a rather large room with several doors leading off, one of which was ajar. Looking through they saw what was obviously a high court trying to come to some desicion. Rose spotter the Doctor and lit up imediately. She went to enter but Jack caught her arm.
"You can't just go barging in!" He hissed.
"Why not?" She said, breaking free and running in. "Doctor!" |

"Hey come on! We've got enough people wanting to take us down without you worrying about two pre-Academy Gallifreyans." Calmed Lord Thete Sigma.
"You'd better leave ..." He looked at her now.
Blonde hair, blue eyes - almost like he knew, he shook his head.
"What are your names?" He asked the young Gallifreyan girl. |

"Doctor you know our names! I'm Rose Tyler! You're companion, you're best friend..." Rose decided admitting just how intimate they were was not a good idea in front of so many Time Lords. "This is Jack Harkness.. oh please say you remember..."
Jack looked at him.
"C'mon Doctor," He said a little more calmly than Rose. "Empty child, Slitheen, Daleks. We met them all. Defeated them all. SAved the universe. And always home in time for tea." |

He looked them up and down and shook his head.
"They definately are in need of medics. Must be some party they went to last night." He concluded.
