The Doctor's skin was beginning to pale, his breathing growing quieter and quieter.
He seemed to be melting away into something else, somewhere far away. |

"Rose Tyler... I love you... best let go now... this might be a little hot... even for you..." He murmured behind closed lids.
Then his face was engulfed with blinding energy, as the face Rose Tyler knew so well, burned away to be replaced with a different more youthful one, with chocolate brown eyes and lots of hair, and a five o'clock shadow.
The Doctor had regenerated.
