The worst has happened
Emma DeLauro, one time member of Mutant X has been turned to the Dark Side. Actually, she kinda leapt to the dark side - and took a fair sized number of the Underground with her.
Convinced that Adam Kane has been corrupted by the Dominion and agencies like it, the Telempathic New Mutant has kidnapped her former mentor, keeping him alive only so he can continue to work on her evolving powers. For Emma is heading the same way as Ashlocke did, and with her powers increasing explentially - the scientist could be her only hope to stay alive.
The team seek to rescue Adam, and somehow try to rescue their old friend - but is there any Emma left to rescue?
And how long before Adam outlives his usefullness?
An insider helps the team to get inside the complex, but whats waiting down there, in the darkness?
To discover the truth, one will have to face their oldest fears, and another may not live the night out....

The brown haired man looked up from the monitor station, at his 'patient' and nodded wearily.
"The stability matrix is holding. For now. You'll need regular updates." He said, with a mechanical tone.
He stood, logged off the machine to which he had limited and supervised access to, and waited expectantly for his guards to arrive to escort him back to his cell.
As he waited, he wondered when it had happened, why he hadn't seen it coming.
Why Emma DeLauro had turned into the equivalent of Gabriel Ashlocke. |

| Escorted back to his 'quarters' Adam simply sat down, waited to be left alone. As soon as he was.. he'd deactivate the camera in the suite - let his keepers watch video footage from yesterday whilst he completed what was left of a coms link. |

OOC: Shouldn't we have Lexa in this RPG aswell? Can the triplets be part of Emma's flowers?
IC: Shalimar slowly opened her eyes. She blinked a few times. She had had an awfull dream. Emma had turned to the bad side and kidnapped Adam. A couple of more seconds and reality came crashing down as memories of the past few days came rushing back. It wasn't just a bad dream. She pulled the covers over her face. She didn't want to get up.
A soft knock on her door. "Hey Shal, are you up yet?" Just be quiet and he'll go away. she thought to herself "Hey Shal!" He slowly opened the door and let himself in. Just pretend you're sleeping...but Brennan was having none of that. He slowly shook her shoulder "Allright already! I'm up!" she snapped. "Whoa, Shal! You can't stay in bed all day. We have to..." "We can't do anything!" she yelled again "Whatever we try she'll be two steps ahead of us. She is our friend. She knows us, she knows how we think, she knows whatwe think and she can change our minds just like that!" she hated feeling so helpless, and she was scared thatEmma would invade her mind, just like Ashloke had. Brennan didn't say anything, just hugged his feral freind. He knew how she felt. After a while she said "I'll meet you in the kitchen in 5 minutes" and Brennan nodded and made his exit, letting her get ready for a new day. |
