I am not a Catholic myself - but I respect the Pope for the good that he did - I didnt always agree with his policies personally - but he gave alot of people hope and faith in doing the right thing. Which counts alot in my book.
Good Journey, Pope Jean Paul, and may your god be waiting to recieve you. |

I'm not catholic either, and I don't believe in the principle of "holy" people, however there is more to this man then just religion. This man who was the Pope started his life in Poland and fully knew the evils of Communism, something the Western world has more or less brushed over in the past decade. He had a major impact on this regime and fought it with all his power. He was a catalyst that started the fall of Communism in Crackow and Berlin, who put down a regime that had tortured, maimed, starved and killed its citizens, regardless of the country or nationality.
This shows that, while I might not agree with the all the religous principles he stood for he has had a big impact on the world. I personally don't feel all that close to pope jean paul, but he is a great person in the history of this world. |

May he rest in peace.
I am no a catholic either, and i certainily disagreed with some of his opinions, bu he is a man taht did a lot. He did a lot for world peace, elped a lo of poor countries, and helped teh fall of communism. Mostly he managed to establish a comunication during other religions, including the Catholic and Orthodox churches who were split almost 1000 yars ago. A great man. |
